Persuaded my partner to visit Mythic Spa with me after I visited with a friend last June. We opted for the couples spa. We arrived approximately 15 minutes early and were seated straight away with a nice glass of water. The lady went through our options and asked us which scent oil we wanted for the massage. We both opted for orange blossom. We were then led to the changing rooms which consisted of 3 private changing rooms, each big enough for a couple along with a wc and a shower. There was plenty of privacy. I had no concerns. Once we had undressed and put on our robes and footwear we placed our personal effects in the lockers and headed back out to the main area. We were shown to the steam room. The steam room was large and could accommodate a small group of friends or be divided into smaller sections for privacy. As we were the only couple in the steam room at that time we had the whole room to ourselves. We were bathed with warm water from a central sink and covered with the black soap. You are consistently warned not to touch your eyes when you have the black soap. We were then left to enjoy the steam whilst the black soap worked its magic. We did begin to struggle with the heat from the steam room and were almost at the point of calling out when the steam cut off and the ladies came back in. We were then rinsed down and then we had the scrub. We were then left again in the steam room for a further 5-8 minutes, again we started to struggle with the heat again and were on the verge of calling out when the steam cut off. We were then rinsed off and given a head massage and shampoo. After a final rinse we were handed dry paper underwear fresh towels and escorted to a changing room to put on our robes. After this we were taken upstairs to our couples massage room. We were laying side by side and the two ladies proceeded to give us an unforgettable massage. Both checking on our wellbeing and the level of pressure they were applying. Following the massage we were taken back outside where we were served Moroccan tea and traditional biscuits. (Delicious) We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Mythic Oriental Spa and would have no hesitation in recommending this establishment.
