Day 1 Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Merzouga DesertYour adventure begins early in the morning as you leave the cultural city of Fes and head south toward the Merzouga Desert. The drive takes you through the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains, offering breathtaking views of cedar forests, Berber villages, and snow-capped peaks in winter. Your first stop will be in Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco,” known for its alpine-style architecture and clean streets. Continue the journey through Azrou, home to playful Barbary macaques, and pass by Midelt, a charming town known for its apple orchards and as the gateway between the Middle and High Atlas. After a lunch stop, you’ll drive through the dramatic Ziz Valley, lined with palm groves and ancient kasbahs, before reaching the golden dunes of Merzouga by late afternoon. Here, you’ll meet your camel caravan and embark on a peaceful camel ride through the Erg Chebbi dunes to your desert camp. Enjoy a magical sunset over the sand dunes, followed by a traditional Moroccan dinner, live Berber drumming around the campfire, and a night under a star-filled desert sky.Day 2 Merzouga Desert – Todgha Gorges – Tinghir or OuarzazateWake up early to witness a stunning sunrise over the dunes, then enjoy breakfast at the camp before returning to the village on camels or by 4×4. You’ll then drive through Rissani, an ancient caravan town famous for its traditional market and dates, continuing towards Tinghir. Along the way, the scenery shifts to rugged canyons and lush oases as you approach the spectacular Todgha Gorges, where limestone cliffs rise up to 300 meters high on each side of the narrow canyon.Take some time to walk through the gorge and the surrounding palm valley before heading to your overnight destination — either Tinghir or Ouarzazate, depending on availability. Dinner and overnight stay in a charming local riad or hotel surrounded by the beauty of southern Morocco.Day 3 Tinghir / Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou Village – MarrakechAfter breakfast, continue your journey through Morocco’s cinematic landscapes toward Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most famous kasbah villages in the country. Explore the maze of earthen buildings and learn about the site’s history as a trading post and film location for movies such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones. From there, the road winds through the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m), offering dramatic views of valleys, Berber villages, and terraced fields. By late afternoon, you’ll arrive in Marrakech, the vibrant “Red City” known for its lively souks, gardens, and historic medina. Your driver will drop you off at your accommodation, marking the end of an unforgettable journey across Morocco’s diverse landscapes
