Begin with a morning pickup from your hotel or the airport in Arusha. Drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, home to lions, elephants, rhinos, and hippos. Enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch by the hippo pool.Spend the evening at a comfortable lodge in Karatu, just outside the crater highlands. The next morning, visit the Hadzabe people near Lake Eyasi — one of the last hunter-gatherer tribes in East Africa.
