Our day starts with departure from Maputo Marina at 08 00 in the morning, kicking off an exciting adventure out on the open indian ocean. The first boat ride takes around 1–1.5 hours as we head towards the whale watching area. On board, we’ll have light snacks, fresh fruit, and water to keep everyone refreshed and comfortable during the trip. Please note these are wild whales, so sightings are never guaranteed at a specific time.. we might find them within minutes, or it might take a bit longer. Either way, our experienced crew will be constantly scanning the ocean and doing their best to spot them, giving you the highest chance of an unforgettable encounter. On top of that, there’s also a chance of spotting dolphins along the way!Once we find the whales, we spend some time watching them in their natural environment, a truly special moment out at sea. After the whale watching experience, we continue on to Portuguese Island for a quick stop where you can relax on the beach and take in the natural views all around. From there, it’s just a 10-minute boat ride to Inhaca Village, where we stop for a local lunch in the heart of the community. After lunch, we take a relaxed walk through the village and local market, giving you a real feeling into everyday island life and how things work on Inhaca.Around 15 00/16 00, we begin our journey back to Maputo, enjoying a final 1-hour boat ride across Maputo Bay, ending the day with beautiful memories of whales, islands, and a little of Mozambican culture.
