Originally established by the Portuguese in 1555 and later developed by the Swedish Africa Company in 1653, Cape Coast Castle was a major trading post for gold and enslaved people.Day 7 ELMINA | SLAVE DUNGEONS | KAKUM NATIONAL PARK | KAKUM NATIONAL PARKElmina Castle, also known as St. George’s Castle, is located in Elmina, Central Region of Ghana. Built by the Portuguese in 1482, it is the oldest European building in sub-Saharan Africa.In the afternoon, head to Kakum National Park, where you’ll find the famous canopy walkway. Enjoy a thrilling walk above the treetops and experience the stunning biodiversity of Ghana.Day 8 CAPE COAST | ACCRAIn the morning, we embark on a long drive back to the capital, Accra. After hours on the road, we’ll take a well-deserved rest and gear up for an evening of nightlife.
