Pour water or place bottles and small objects on the road to watch them appear to move uphill rather than downhill. While the effect is actually a gravity hill optical illusion, it creates a fascinating experience that surprises many first-time visitors.During the visit, have time to explore the area, take photos, and try out the experiment yourself by pouring water or rolling objects along the road to see the mysterious movement. Your guide will also share stories and local beliefs about the site, adding cultural context to the experience.After spending time exploring Kya Mwilu, stop for lunch in Machakos town or at a nearby restaurant before beginning the return journey to Nairobi.
