Begin your tour with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Nairobi. Head to the Karen Blixen Museum, located in the author’s former home at the foot of the Ngong Hills.Step inside the beautifully preserved farmhouse, where Blixen lived from 1917 to 1931. See original 20th-century furniture and personal artifacts, and hear stories about her life and the colonial era from your guide.Find memorabilia from the Oscar-winning film “Out of Africa” and see iconic spots mentioned in her memoir. Then, explore the tranquil gardens and see vintage coffee-processing equipment from her plantation days.Giraffe Centre. Arrive early before the crowds. You will hand-feed endangered Rothschild giraffes from a raised platform. For an adventurous photo, you can hold a pellet in your lips for a ‘giraffe kiss.’ Afterwards, walk the nature trail down to the Gogo River to look for birds and indigenous flora .You will get close and personal with Giraffes as well as learn the conservation efforts of Rothschild Giraffes.Enjoy panoramic views of the Ngong Hills from the property before returning to your hotel.
