Embark on a 3-day safari from Nairobi to the Masai Mara National Reserve. Enjoy game drives in search of the Big Five, see the Great Rift Valley, and stay in a comfortable lodge. On the first day, start with an early pickup from your accommodation within Nairobi or the airport. Make a quick stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to enjoy the amazing views of the largest valley in the world, said to be visible from outer space.Arrive at Maasai Mara around lunchtime and check into your lodge. Enjoy a delicious meal before heading out on an afternoon game drive. Drive to the waterholes to see what animals have come down to enjoy a drink.Expect to find large herbivores such as elephants, rhinos, and buffalos cooling down by immersing themselves in water and having a mud bath. Hyenas and wild dogs still move around during the day. As the heat of the day continues to set in, spot beautiful lions in a pride resting under a shady spot, or cheetahs and leopards. In the evening, drive back to your camp or lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. On the second day, spend the full day exploring Maasai Mara in search of the Big Five. Have a picnic lunch in the reserve as you scale the Mara beauty and see resident hippos and crocodiles sitting at the banks of the Mara River. The Masai Mara Reserve is the most popular tourism destination in Kenya. Located in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland, wildlife is most concentrated on the reserve’s western escarpment. It is regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas. The annual wildebeest migration alone involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November. Hardly can a visitor miss spotting the Big Five. The phenomenal wildebeest migration, which is a spectacular event only seen in Maasai Mara, is the seventh wonder of the world.Later, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. On the third day, enjoy an early morning breakfast and check out. Commence the drive back to Nairobi. On arrival, be dropped off at your hotel or the airport.
