Day 1 Kigali to MusanzeStart with pickup from your hotel or the airport in Kigali. Meet your driver-guide who will brief you about the itinerary for the 2-day tour. First, visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial. Learn about the horrors of the 1994 Rwandan genocide, which claimed the lives of members of the Tutsis and Twa ethnic groups.Travel north to Volcanoes National Park, located 80 kilometers from Kigali. Visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund in Rwanda. Enjoy an overnight at Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge.Day 2 Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National ParkAfter an early morning breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters with your packed lunch. Enter the forest and begin your quest to spot gorillas in their natural habitat. Depending on the movements of the gorillas, this portion of the tour can take between 2 and 6 hours. Once you spot these amazing animals, enjoy up to one hour of observing their behavior. Afterwards, be returned to your hotel in Kigali.
