Learn about the difference between Arabica and Robusta coffee, where coffee is grown in Uganda, and how coffee shapes livelihoods and local communities. See raw green coffee beans before they begin their transformation.Next, roast your own coffee beans over a charcoal stove, just like many Ugandan households have done for generations. During the roasting process, observe how the beans change color, develop their aroma, and begin releasing natural oils. Your guide will explain how roasting levels affect flavor and strength.After roasting, cool and grind the beans using traditional tools. This part of the experience is interactive and gives you a feel for how coffee preparation used to be done before modern machines. The rich aroma released during grinding is one of the highlights of the experience.Finally, enjoy a relaxed coffee tasting session, where you can sample different brewing styles and learn how Ugandans traditionally prepare their coffee. Your host will guide you through identifying flavors and aromas, understanding roast profiles, and appreciating the uniqueness of Ugandan coffee.
