Begin your 2-day adventure with a pickup from your accommodation in Fort Portal. Head to the ‘Top of the World’ Fort Portal crater lakes and enjoy panoramic views of Lake Nyinabulitwa, Lake Nyabikere, and Lake Nyamirima.Then,head to Kibale Forest Camp near Kibale National Park, where you’ll spend the night. Look forward to your chimpanzee trek in the morning.On day 2, wake up early and drive to the Kanyanchu Visitor Center. Receive a briefing from your ranger guide before heading into the forest for chimpanzee trekking.Trek into the forest in search of man’s closest relatives, the chimpanzees. Once you locate the chimpanzees with the help of your ranger guides, spend 1 hour with them, watching them in their natural habitat. Take photos of the chimpanzees during this time.After the chimp encounter, start the trek back to the headquarters where you will find your driver guide waiting for you. Then, start the journey back to Fort Portal where your guide will drop you off.
