🕓Epic 8-Day Omo Valley, Danakil& Lalibela Tour

Day 1 Addis Ababa – Semera – DallolDepart from Bole Airport at 7 00 AM and arrive in Semera at 8 30 AM. After landing, be picked up and driven to Hamed Ela (Dallol), with a stop at Afdera Lake for a 40-minute lunch break. Arrive in Dallol by 3 30 PM, where you can relax for an hour at the campsite. In the afternoon, choose between visiting Lake Assale for sunset views or exploring Dallol’s vibrant sulfur and salt canyons. Overnight at Hamed Ela.Day 2 Dallol to Erta AleWake up at 4 30 AM for another visit to Dallol. After a short drive, have breakfast at 9 00 AM near the salt canyon and enjoy the scenery until 11 30 AM. Next, head to Erta Ale, an active volcano, which is about a 3-hour drive away. Reach the Erta Ale campsite around 2 30 PM. After a one-hour break, trek to the volcano rim at 4 15 PM to enjoy the sunset. Return to the campsite around 9 00 PM for a hot dinner.Day 3 Erta Ale – Semera – Addis AbabaGet up at 4 30 AM to witness a breathtaking sunrise at the volcano. Spend time soaking in the views until 9 00 AM, then return to the campsite for breakfast at 10 30 AM. Drive to Semera via Afdera Lake for your flight to Addis. The drive will take about 5 hours, arriving at the airport by 4 30 PM for your evening flight back to Addis Ababa around 6 40 PM. Overnight in Addis.Day 4 Addis Ababa – JinkaFly to Jinka and meet your guide upon arrival. Proceed directly to Turmi, home of the Hamer people, known for their distinctive appearance and cultural customs. Visit a local Hamer village and immerse yourself in their way of life. Overnight in Turmi.Day 5 Turmi – Kara Village – JinkaEarly in the morning, head to Kara village, inhabited by the small Kara tribe, which numbers around 3,000 people. Known for their body painting traditions, have the chance to interact with the community in Dus, one of their larger and less frequented villages. After spending time with the Kara people, make your way back to Jinka, stopping at the vibrant Alduba market along the way, a gathering of various tribal groups. Overnight in Jinka.Day 6 Jinka – Mursi via Mago National ParkDepart early for Mursi, located within Mago National Park (70 km away). The Mursi tribe is famous for their unique custom of lip plates. Arrive in the late morning and spend time getting to know the local Mursi people. After your visit, return to Jinka to catch your flight to Addis Ababa. Overnight in Addis.Day 7 Addis Ababa – LalibelaBe transferred to the airport for your flight to Lalibela. Upon arrival, meet your guide and be taken to your hotel. Lalibela, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is renowned for its rock-hewn cathedrals. In the afternoon, visit key sites such as Bete Medhane Alem, Bete Mariam, Bete Meskal, Bete Denaghel, Bete Golgotha, Bete Mikael, and Bete Giorgis.Day 8 Lalibela – Addis AbabaIn the early morning, take a walking tour to explore the remaining churches, including Bete Marqorios. After breakfast, enjoy the sunrise.
