Day 1 Arrival in Entebbe and Transfer to Bwindi.Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, meet your guide and begin the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Enjoy a scenic drive through tropical rainforests, savannah fields, and the terraced hills of Kigezi, known as the Switzerland of East Africa.Upon arrival in Bwindi, check in at the lodge and visit the Batwa community for a cultural adventure. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, preparing for the next day’s adventure.Day 2 Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.After an early breakfast, attend a briefing with local guides and trackers who will provide insights into gorilla trekking etiquette. Hike into the forest to a spot where gorillas were seen the previous night and track from there.Trekking may take between 1 to 6 hours, depending on the location of the gorilla family and altitudes, which can exceed 7,500 feet. The terrain is rough and muddy, requiring physical fitness. Although the hike is demanding, the beauty of the forest and surrounding scenery make it worthwhile.After the trek, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for a relaxing evening.Day 3 Return to Entebbe/KampalaAfter breakfast, start the long drive back to Entebbe, with a lunch stop en route and a visit to the equator line for a unique experience. Arrive at Entebbe International Airport in the evening, ready for your onward journey.
