Up and Down Tours

Discover the best of Cape Town on a full-day shared tour that links Table Mountain, Cape Point and the penguins of Boulders Beach. This relaxed itinerary combines iconic viewpoints, dramatic coastlines and unique wildlife in one seamless experience.Your day begins with pickup from your Cape Town accommodation. Your guide sets the scene as you drive to Table Mountain, one of the New7Wonders of Nature. After purchasing your cableway ticket, step into the rotating cable car for a smooth ascent to the summit. Spend around an hour exploring the plateau, walking marked paths and enjoying panoramic views across the city, Table Bay and Robben Island.Back at the base, continue to Bo Kaap for a short photo stop among its brightly painted houses. Your guide explains the history and culture of this famous neighbourhood before you follow the Atlantic coastline past Camps Bay, Clifton and Llandudno. A highlight of the day is a scenic stop on Chapman’s Peak Drive, where cliffs drop into the ocean and viewpoints offer outstanding photo opportunities. The route then enters Cape Point Nature Reserve, a protected area of rugged cliffs, fynbos and sweeping sea views. You have time to walk to the Cape Point lighthouse, explore the paths and take in the scenery.A short drive brings you to the Cape of Good Hope, a historic landmark long associated with early sailing routes around Africa. Take photos at the iconic sign and, conditions permitting, stroll along the rocky shoreline.Leaving the reserve, travel along the False Bay coastline to Simon’s Town and continue to Boulders Beach, home to a colony of protected African penguins. Boardwalks provide close and respectful viewing of the birds as they rest on the beach or swim in the clear water. The day ends with a relaxed drive back toward Cape Town, where your guide points out interesting areas and viewpoints before dropping you at your original pickup location. This tour is ideal for travellers wanting a complete Cape Peninsula experience in a single day.
