Our guide was fantastic, the vehicle was always clean and comfortable, and Hussein made the long drives enjoyable with his knowledge and great attitude. One of the best decisions we made was booking with Bantu Pori Journeys. From the very beginning, they were responsive, transparent, and incredibly helpful while we planned our trip. They took the time to customize everything to what we wanted and made the whole process stress-free. From the moment we landed until we flew home, everything ran smoothly. We also loved how welcoming and friendly everyone we met in Tanzania was. The people truly made the experience even more special. We visited mid June but recommend early to mid as it is so popular there are hundreds of tour vehicles in the crater & it only gets busier as the season goes on. The view from the top is breathtaking. The base about 600 sq km with a lake & varying landscape, the animal life incredible, Lions, elephants, rhino’s,buffalo, various from the antelope family, warthogs, Hippo’s, you name it they have it except Giraffe’s. There are also several well toilets in several locations. We were blown away with our encounters. The photo shown says it all. This was our first trip to Africa, and while my wife had been on safaris in India before, this was a completely new and magical experience for me. We quickly fell in love with the landscapes, the people, and the incredible wildlife. Thanks to our phenomenal guide, we learned more about the animal kingdom and local culture than we ever could in a classroom. From watching stunning sunrises over the Serengeti to spotting endangered Rhinos in the Ngorongoro Crater, each day left us in absolute disbelief. It felt like living inside a nature documentary. We upgraded to the luxury accommodation option and were pleasantly surprised by the incredibly high standards. Honestly, every single lodge was stunning and comfortable. The staff members were exceptionally helpful and professional, the facilities were pristine, the beds were amazingly comfortable, and the food was delicious (both the multi-course dinners and early morning breakfasts). We witnessed an abundance of animals inside the Ngorongoro Crater which truly deserves the World Heritage classification. There were groups of different tourists, but the experience allowed me to see why this is such a legendary spot. We checked off all the big five, and the thrill of tracking game inside an ancient volcano made the safari much more memorable. Amazing place to visit and an absolute must visit when in Tanzania. Not just for the wild animals but also for being in and on the brim of the crater itself. A bit crowded in places, which is not unusual in these parks. You’re not alone here 😅 one of the coolest places in the crater is actually the lake with the thousands of birds, mostly pink-red flamingos. All the usual animals are there except for giraffes (they can’t climb the steep crater) and rhinos. Well there are a few rhinos there but they are very rare to find.
