Day 1 Drive from Addis Ababa to Bale Dinsho. Drive from Addis to Bale Dinsho, approximately 8 hours. Enjoy breathtaking landscapes, traditional villages, and the lush Ethiopian highlands on the way.Upon arrival in Bale Dinsho, you will be welcomed by your local guide. Trek for about 2 hours in the surroundings of the park headquarters to learn about the unique ecosystem. Look for endemic species such as Menelik’s Bushbuck, Mountain Nyala, Warthog, Reedbuck, Gray Duikers, and Baboons.In the evening, take a short hike to acclimate and enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Spend the night at Dinsho Campsite (3100masl).Day 2 Trek from Dinsho to Sodota Campsite, trek for about 7 hoursAfter an early breakfast, embark on an 18 km trek. Journey through Web Valley, culminating at Fincha Habera waterfall, where the Web and Wolla rivers converge. Spot the elusive Ethiopian Wolf, along with raptors and endemic birds like the Blue-winged Goose.Relax with local coffee/tea upon reaching the campsite. Spend the night at Sodota Campsite (3500masl).Day 3 Trekking to WasemaHike approximately 6-7 hours through stunning landscapes. Traverse Mararo Valley, home to nesting Lammergeyer and Verreaux Eagles. Keep an eye out for Ethiopian Wolves and diverse birdlife. Interact with local communities along the route. Spend the night at Wasema Campsite (3900masl).Day 4 Journey to Sanneti PlateauDepart from Wasema, descending into the picturesque Worgona Valley. Look for Falcons, raptors, and the Ethiopian Wolf. Experience the breathtaking Moorland, dotted with lakes and wildflowers. Trekking duration is 7-8 hours. In the evening, enjoy a warm bonfire and stargazing. Spend the night at Sanneti Campsite (4100masl).Day 5 Drive to Harenna ForestAfter breakfast, transfer to Harenna Forest, Ethiopia’s second tropical rainforest. Observe the rare Ethiopian Wolf, Abyssinian Hare, and various water birds, including the Wattled Crane. Explore the lush forest, trek to a cascading waterfall, and stroll along the Bamboo Trail. Look for the endemic Bale Monkey. Learn about local flora and fauna from your guide. Spend the night at a comfortable hotel in Robe.Day 6 Sof Omer CaveVisit the largest cave in Ethiopia, Sof Omer Cave. Explore its many pillars, particularly in the chamber of columns. Learn about its significance as a religious center, sacred both to Islam and the local Oromo traditional religion.The cave was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site tentatively in 2011. Then, drive back to Robe overnight. HotelDay 7 Return to Addis AbabaEither fly back to Addis or drive back.
