We ended up here as a convenient place near downtown Cape Town with a good variety of restaurants for lunch. After lunch, we walked the boardwalks and had a great time. Even through we were visiting midweek during a winter month, there were live performances of local musicians, a great variety of fun stores to walk through. And we ended up going on a helicopter ride and boat cruise. We ended up spending most of the day and evening here. There are a good selection of restaurants, bars, cafes and shops. There are also top hotels to stay in and visit for dinner, as well as the shopping mall when the weather is wet. A trip to Cape Town requires a visit to this area for some R&R and dinner/lunch/coffees or whatever ‘floats your boat’.A must do when visiting Time Out magazines officially listed ‘Best City’ in the world award for 2025. What started as a laid-back outing turned into something unexpectedly meaningful thanks to two standout experiences.First, our visit to Shimansky Jewellery was truly special. I walked in curious about a ring design —something I have been putting off and still putting off —and was warmly welcomed by the team. Kerri offered a world-class level of service: informative, graceful, and deeply engaging. What could’ve been a quick moment turned into an unforgettable experience. Shimansky didn’t just display exquisite diamonds—they mirrored that brilliance in the care and professionalism of their team.Equally impressive was our stop at TAG Heuer, where Michael took the time to educate us about the craftsmanship and significance behind timepieces. Fur seals can also be seen taking refuge on areas for this purpose.There is also an association for the adoption of shelter dogs on weekends at the Time out market.When the view is clear you can see the Mountain table. During the night there were still some thunderstorms in the mountains, when the sun rose early in the morning and we stepped on the balcony of our ship or disembarked, Cape Town and Table Mountain was cloudless, no fog nothing. We were within walking distance of the V&A Waterfront. When you looked into the pool, you first thought there was garbage floating until you noticed it moving, they were seals. We ended up here as a convenient place near downtown Cape Town with a good variety of restaurants for lunch. After lunch, we walked the boardwalks and had a great time. Even through we were visiting midweek during a winter month, there were live performances of local musicians, a great variety of fun stores to walk through. And we ended up going on a helicopter ride and boat cruise. We ended up spending most of the day and evening here.
