From the moment we arrived, the space felt extremely neat, welcoming, and full of creative energy. Timothy showed us around and did a fantastic job explaining the different art pieces, which made the experience even more meaningful. We went upstairs and were amazed by the variety—vivid, colourful artworks, and fascinating pieces made entirely from trash. Each artwork told a story. Outside the gallery, the vibe continued with drummers and dancers performing live, adding a lively cultural touch. We had so much fun and left feeling inspired. I highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates art in all its forms. We had started chatting with a staff member and tour guide, Luke (he is dressed in deep blue) and he gave us a very interesting and insightful history and perspective on many of the works. Thanks Luke! As you can see, he is very friendly, and his background in petroleum engineering and art history makes for interesting conversation! We also met the gallery owner and the queen of Lagos while we were there (she is in green) – though I didn’t know it at the time.
