This community-based tourism initiative offers travelers the opportunity to discover Rwanda’s rich traditions, history, and local way of life while directly supporting surrounding communities and former poachers who now work in conservation and tourism.Visiting the modern Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund campus near Volcanoes National Park, a world-renowned center dedicated to gorilla conservation, scientific research, education, and community development.After the journey, continue to Tiloreza Volcanoes Ecolodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay surrounded by beautiful volcano views.Accommodation Tiloreza Volcanoes EcolodgeMid-range lodge located less than 30min drive from Volcanoes NP (Gorillas)Day 2Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park and Drive back to KigaliAfter breakfast from your booked lodge/hotel, you will check out and pack your bags then our English speaking driver-guide will pick you up and drive you to the park office for registration. There, you’ll be briefed about gorilla behaviors and how to behave while visiting the park. The driver-guide will drive you from the park office to the start of the walking point.From here, you will hike with a local guide who will help you to enjoy the gorillas and the entire park. On arrival, the guide will give you the time to take as many photos as possible and enjoy the trek.After that guided trek, you will go back to the driver who will take you back to Kigali and drop you off at the airport or at your hotel.
