Day 1 Departing from Cotonou, drive to Grand Popo and explore the natural riches of Bouche du Roy and attend a voodoo ceremony that will stir your senses. Get back on the road and spend the night in Ouidah.Day 2 Start the day by visiting the Python Temple. Then discover the history of the city by visiting the sacred forest of Kpasse and the Door of No Return, a testament to the slave trade of the ancient kingdom of Dahomey. In the afternoon, head to Calavi and board a boat. It will take you to discover the famous lakeside city of Ganvie and its people, the Tofinou. You will return to Cotonou to spend the night.Day 3 The adventure continues in the morning in Porto-Novo, the capital of Benin. You will visit the ancient mosque built by freed slaves who returned from Brazil, then the palace of the city’s last king, King Toffa. Finally, discover the unique and peaceful black river of Adjarra before returning to Cotonou. You will explore the city a little more by visiting the Amazon Square and the Heritage Wall before taking a tour of the craft market. Your coastal adventure will end after a tour of Fidjrosse Beach.
